Boating Holidays

Redline Boating Holidays

The Red Line fleet operates from Goytre Wharf in South Wales and has specially designed canal boats, narrowboats and barges to suit the special conditions, tight turns, and comparative shallowness of the old and beautiful Monmouthshire and Brecon canal.

The varied designs of boat reflects the size constraints of this unique canal and the fleet of Red Line boats has developed over a number of years providing both narrow and broad beam boats for between 2 and 8 people.

A civilised adventure

On boating holidays , you are welcomed as part of the scenery, rather than just another tourist. Your whole holiday is at walking pace, there's time to soak up and enjoy the scenery, talk to people and get in touch with this typically more social type of lifestyle.

Put your cares behind you and set off up the canal. Free at last. Stop when you feel like it. Get up when you feel like it and simply go where you want to go. Give us a call and make this the year you escape to the real countryside.

UK Boating Holidays

Let us introduce you to one of Britain's best kept secrets, the network of narrow waterways and river navigations, for which the canal boat, barge and narrowboat was specially designed, that meander across some of the most beautiful countryside, and past pubs, cottages and warehouses. Here you will discover the secret Britain most tourists miss-out on.

If this will be your first time, you will find that you are given a friendly welcome by everybody on the canal.   But you won't be inexperienced for very long, for within a short time you will be gliding quietly around the first bend into a whole new and different world.

The specially designed boats (narrowboats) are easy to handle and of course, everything on a boating holiday happens at a relaxed and easy pace.  You will get all the instruction you need by the holiday operator and will soon head off on your very own adventure.

The boats are fully equipped with every modern amenity, so looking after yourselves becomes a pleasure, but there are also many canalside pubs, which were once essential 'staging posts' for the working boats of the last century, that are now popular watering holes for holidaymakers and most of them now offer great food at reasonable prices.
