Canal boat holidaymakers enjoy annual show

Scores of people who enjoy canal boat holidays descended on the Crick Boat Show last weekend, it has been revealed.

Held between May 29th and 31st, the event featured a range of stalls selling everything from essential equipment to canal boats, the Northampton Echo reports.

'Despite Saturday's weather, we still had a good number of people come through and our exhibitors said they had some good sales,' commented organiser Chris Stanley.

He also told the paper that organisers were delighted by how many people attended and made the most of all the attractions on offer.

The canal boat show featured an outdoor fun fair and even a farm for the children to enjoy.

British Waterways named its top things to do for the bank holiday weekend, which included a visit to Caen Hill Locks in Wiltshire and the Anderton Boat Lift in Cheshire.ADNFCR-2853-ID-19819511-ADNFCR
