Canal boat holidays in Staffordshire 'could benefit from Stoke scheme'

Woodland management days are being held in Stoke that are hoped to improve conditions, those with canal boat holidays in Staffordshire may be interested to discover.

A number of sessions are taking place in the next two months which will encourage people to help look after hedges and to improve the waterways' surroundings.

Courses that have been accredited by the NCFE will also invite people to take part and will show people the basics of hedgelaying.

Louise North, project officer, claimed that these sessions will make a real difference to those on canal boat holidays in Staffordshire.

'These activities provide the perfect opportunity to further enhance the biodiversity of Stoke's canals, which act as green corridors running through the city.

Those on canal boat holidays in Staffordshire could soon be able to see the Staffordshire Hoard, as MP Michael Fabricant has told the Lichfield Blog that he has amended a parliamentary motion that will see the collection exhibited in Lichfield.ADNFCR-2853-ID-19571655-ADNFCR
