Canal boat holidays in Bristol: Make the most of Shark Week

People on canal boat holidays in Bristol over the coming weeks might want to make a stop at the Blue Reef Aquarium.

It will be holding Shark Week between May 29th and June 6th, which involves a series of activities and exhibitions featuring the creature.

Blue Reef's Susie Unsworth said: 'Shark Week events are always extremely popular at out sister aquariums, and we're sure there's plenty of potential shark supporters out there just waiting to be converted.'

Visitors will be able to head to the Shark Nursery, where newly-hatched baby sharks can be seen alongside egg-cases and mermaid purses.

Numerous quizzes, demonstrations and even a 3D film will also be available to those visiting the attraction.

This follows the recent news that Blue Reef Aquarium had welcomed a variety of newborn African freshwater fish.

Two species of Lake Malawi cichlids were responsible for the offspring, which are now to be monitored by experts at the aquarium. ADNFCR-2853-ID-19801956-ADNFCR
