Canal boat holidays in the Cotswolds: Bath a buzzing stop-off

Bath is a great place to make the most of canal boat holidays in the Cotswolds, it has been suggested.

A number of festivals and other events take place throughout the year, making it a truly exciting place to be, said Lucy Weaver, PR and communications executive for Bath Tourism Plus.

One of the things to look out for in coming months is the Lions of Bath, she explained, which is a public art event held throughout the city.

The individually decorated life-size lions can be found in various locations and are sure to be an interesting sight to see.

Ms Weaver continued: 'The Roman Baths should always be at the top of the list for anyone visiting Bath.

'The museum gives a great insight into the beginnings of Bath as a spa town and has some of the most impressive Roman remains in Europe.'
