Plan canal boat holidays to ensure the best experience

People need to plan their canal boat holidays in order to make the most of their time away, Mike Whiting, managing editor at HolidayExtras.com has said.

He said that in some cases, people arrive at their destination only to find it is disappointing or not what they had expected.

Furthermore, he suggested that there are plenty of review sites for holidaymakers to log on to in order to get an unedited view of what is on offer.

'It seems that travellers are willing to speak out when it comes to service, whether that be quality of food, accommodation or even the quality of tours and excursions,' Mr Whiting emphasised.

According to findings from HolidayExtras.com, accommodation is the main cause for complaint for 63 per cent of customers.
