Worcestershire narrowboat holiday events this weekend

Families on narrowboat holidays in Worcestershire will be able to take advantage of a range of summer events over this bank holiday weekend.

The County Museum is hosting a range of fun things for kids to do everyday until August 30th, including fossil making, clay modelling, fabric printing and brass rubbing.

There will also be a range of 1950s and 60s themed nostalgic exhibitions being held at the museum, where children can try out historic games such as hoopla and take part in war-time workshops.

County council learning resources assistant Julie Smith explained that the Family Fun Day is both affordable and entertaining for the whole family.

She explained: 'This year we look back to the summer holidays from the past with plenty of nostalgic games for everyone.

'In between all of the activities available, you can have some time out and take advantage of our excellent café facilities or simply bring your own picnic lunch to enjoy in our stunning grounds.'
